The Convention, The Exhibit and The Kyra Awards
The congress gathers people and organizations from all sectors to share the latest information, studies and trends in fund raising. Launched in 2004, the biennial Congress was first held in March 2004 and coincided with the First Kyra Awards. The Second Fund Raising Congress, Building Stronger Bridges, was held in August 2006.

The Third Fund Raising Congress, Moving Up, will be held on September 3 to 4, 2008 at the Mandarin Oriental Suites in Gateway Mall, Cubao, Quezon City.
While the congress brings together individuals and teams from various organizations in the non-profit sector, it challenges its participants to “move up” – and take the next step in realizing bigger and more challenging goals in fund raising while having donors become more involved in their cause.
The 3rd Fund Raising Congress will have 3 components: The Convention, The Exhibit and The Kyra Awards.
- The Convention is the venue to present best practices in resource mobilization, bring together fund raisers as peers, and encourage discussion and sharing of information on the ever evolving strategies and practices in the fund raising field. Topics for the learning sessions for this year include the different fund raising strategies and fund sources such as grants, direct mail, major gifts, small contributions, overseas fund raising, internet fund raising, special events, corporate partnerships and viral marketing.
- The Exhibit features products and services that will make fund raising campaigns easier to implement. It is a good networking venue for both service providers and NGOs.
- The 3rd Kyra Awards is the pioneer in celebrating the best practices in fund raising efforts conducted by Philippine NGOs. The awards include Best Direct Mail Campaign, Best Special Event, Best Corporate-NGO Partnership, and the Award for Excellence in Fund Raising.
