Venture for Fund Raising
Program Associate
Employment Status : Probationary (4-6 months)
Regular appointment after a satisfactory performance evaluation
Reports to : Program Director
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Program Director in planning, developing, delivering and evaluating consulting and training programs
- Assist Program Director in coordinating programmatic meetings and events, including scheduling, coordinating some travel and accommodations; preparing and distributing meeting/workshop materials; and providing on-site support
- Assist with information gathering, data collection and analysis, and writing of reports
- Provide information and research support for marketing and communication activities
- Work closely with Program Director in cultivating prospect clients
- Provide some clerical duties in support of Program Director
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in program development, evaluation, research, analysis and strategic thinking
- Strong working knowledge of office management and related administrative procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to board, staff and the general public
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Versed in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to carry out program activities consistent with mission, vision and values of the organization
Preferred Experience, Skills and Interests:
- Work experience in philanthropic institution and nonprofit/non-government organization desirable
- Experience in fundraising, including grant writing, desirable
Business Development & Communications Manager
Job Purpose: Manage the organization’s marketing/advertising, public relations and internal and external communications functions. Identify new markets and attract new clients. Research on new business opportunities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement the overall communications strategy for the organization.
- Develop and implement an individual and corporate philanthropic fund raising strategy
- Design and implement the bi-annual Fund Raising Congress as well as the KYRA Fund Raising Awards
- Provide staff support to the Board of Directors
- Develop and manage Venture’s externship and mentoring program
- Act as business development and communications consultant and/or trainor to Venture’s partners when stipulated in contacts and engagements
- Liaise with the press and develop communication materials as required
- Conduct extensive market research prior to starting up new business and continue gathering information throughout the life of the business
Technical skills
- Ability to identify new business opportunities
- Ability to analyse client requirements and sell solutions
- Monitoring of performance goals and measures
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Ability to make cold calls
- Broad knowledge in the non-profit sector

Qualifications:
- College graduate – BS Marketing, AB/BS Communications
- Computer Literate
- At least 3 years experience in events organizing
- At least 2 years experience in development work
- At least 1-2 years experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- At least 1-2 years supervisory experience
- Good in oral and written communication skills
- Versatile with good interpersonal skills and pleasing personality
