An online Fund Raising Capacity Building and Planning Workshop with the Ayala Foundation (AFI) was conducted last July 20-24, 2020!
The overall training program aimed to equip AFI with essential professional fund raising knowledge, such as basic fund raising concepts and principles, fundamental fund raising systems, policies, and procedures, and the local and global fund raising environment, among others.
The workshop culminated with the development of medium-term fund raising plans that encompass the organization's programs in arts and culture, education, sustainable livelihood, youth leadership, and disaster risk reduction and management.
Before the workshop proper, a training needs and organizational assessment (TNA) was conducted to determine AFI's current fund raising capacity and to gain a deeper understanding of the organization as a whole.
The workshop with AFI also marked the first time Venture organized and implemented a training workshop through a fully online setting! Originally planned as a 3-day face-to-face engagement, it was translated into an online workshop taking place over 5 consecutive half-days. Due to health and safety concerns, the transition to a digital setting was deemed necessary.
