A successful online Fund Raising Capacity Building and Planning Workshop was held last September 21-29, 2020 for the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Philippines!

Participating in the workshop were key staff members from ADRA Philippines' headquarters in Cavite, and from its disaster risk reduction and livelihoods projects in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Visayas, and Mindanao. The online training course took place over 7 3-hour half-days.

The first 3 days of the workshop were dedicated to leveling the fund raising knowledge of the participants. Discussions revolved around the what's, who's, and why's of ADRA's resource mobilization. The remaining 4 days were devoted to guiding the participants through the fund raising planning process.

The major output of the course was the development of ADRA's resource mobilization plans over the next 3 years to support ADRA's projects across the Philippines.

Prior to the workshop, a training needs and organization assessment (TNA) was conducted. The purpose of this TNA was to understand ADRA's past fund raising experience, current fund raising capacity, and the training needs of each staff member. These insights became the foundation for the development of customized course materials for ADRA.

Our warmest thanks to ADRA Philippines for the productive yet fun-filled workshop engagement! We hope you are now more prepared to go out and friend-raise!
