As part of our mission to teach the joy of giving, and to help in our own little way, we created a compilation of fund raising campaigns to provide for the needs of our country’s health workers and affected marginalized communities during this COVID-19 health crisis.

The campaigns are divided into 4 categories: 1.) Non-Profit Efforts, 2.) Corporate Efforts, 3.) Volunteer-Led Efforts, and 4.) Hospitals in Need.

In doing this, we wanted to create a resource for the general public to easily access information and donate to campaigns all over the country.

We were pleased to receive multiple support from individuals who also stepped forward to share the donation drives they know of. For this, we send out our sincere thanks! This would not have been possible without you!

From the months of April to June, we recorded over 140 active fund raising efforts to procure personal protective equipment (PPEs), food, hygiene, and sanitation items, and other items to fulfill the needs of medical and non-medical frontliners, the poor and the needy in urban spaces, public utility vehicle operators, farmers and fisherfolk, indigenous people, and so many other sectors, in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

We are proud to see that the Bayanihan spirit is alive and well in Filipinos today!

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, it is our hope that we continue to see Filipinos demonstrate their generosity and compassion and build together a culture of giving. Many of our countrymen, such as overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), students, and those in smaller provinces who are beginning to see a rise in coronavirus cases, are still urgently in need of aid.

For anyone looking for a list of fund raising campaigns similar to what we did, we highly recommend taking a look at the Interactive Philippine Dashboard on COVID-19, particularly its ‘Volunteer & Donate’ page, created by United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN) Youth – Philippines, or platforms such as WeCARE and CovidHeroes.io that are focused on hospitals in need.

Although we will no longer be updating our compilation, we will continue to use Venture’s platforms to spread awareness of ongoing campaigns. Please feel free to contact us at venture@venture-asia.org or message us on our Facebook page to share your campaigns that we can feature on our online platforms.
