Last November, Venture was invited to take part in the Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines' (SHIP) CABLE Program!

The CABLE Program was created for community-based organizations (CBOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) working with people diagnosed with HIV to gain access to essential tools, resources, and skills in organizational development, community health research, project management, and more.

For the assigned module, Venture developed a 15-minute video in which Ms. Pinky, our Executive Director, shared 10 common fund raising myths and the corresponding tips to overcome the challenges presented by these.

On November 11, SHIP's CBO and CSO partners gathered in an online meeting to address inquiries and concerns and share their insights about the module. The meeting was an opportunity for Ms. Pinky to address the participants' questions and speak in more detail about resource mobilization.

The partners were also guided through a Constituency Mapping activity during the meeting. The participants were asked to identify their organization's stakeholders - past, current, and potential future donors, beneficiaries, partners, and funders - and were encouraged to revisit the activity by listing down the specific names of individuals, groups, and organizations in their Constituency Maps and categorizing them based on their connection, capability, and concern for the cause.

Our warmest thanks to SHIP for inviting Venture onto the CABLE Program! We also thanks SHIP's CBO and CSO partners for their participation in the module. It was a pleasure meeting all of you!
