Venture Speaks: FES Philippines’ Academy of Political Management Batch 12 Cohort 4

Venture was invited to lead one of the sessions in the Academy of Political Management (APM), Batch 12 Cohort 4, organized by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Philippines.


Our session was held on September 2, 2025, at Le Blanc Hotel in Antipolo City, as part of the Academy’s progressive political leadership training program, which spanned several days and gathered participants from diverse organizations in both public and private sectors.



Representing Venture was our Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Kiel S. Fernandez, who shared key insights on the art and science of fund raising. She debunked common myths, offered practical tips, and guided participants through the full process of resource mobilization—highlighting real-world best practices from various organizations that participants could learn from and adapt.

In addition to Venture’s session on resource mobilization, the Academy also covered a range of timely topics, including climate politics, the role of data in campaigns, and the craft of facilitation and consensus building.

Participants actively contributed, sharing insights on their experiences, challenges, and opportunities in sustaining their advocacies. Their stories highlighted the realities of mobilizing resources in different contexts. The discussion also opened up ideas on how collaboration, innovation, and values-based leadership can help organizations strengthen their impact and sustain their work in the long term.

We extend our warmest thanks to FES Philippines for the opportunity to be part of this meaningful program. It was a pleasure meeting such passionate advocates, and we look forward to future collaborations.
