Venture Speaks: Financial Stewardship for NGOs with PCNC Batch 2

We’re delighted to share that Venture for Fund Raising once again served as a resource speaker at the Financial Stewardship for NGOs training, hosted by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC), in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and PICPA Foundation.


Held October 1–3, 2025 at ibis Styles Manila Araneta City, this marked our second participation in the training, after joining the first run on July 2–4, 2025. Both sessions aimed to provide nonprofit leaders, finance officers, and development practitioners with a valuable space to share knowledge and enhance financial management, transparency, and sustainability practices.



The three-day training program offered an opportunity for exchange, reflection, and collaboration among organizations through various learning modules. Specifically, we were invited once more to share insights on two of the program’s key sessions:


  • Diversifying Revenue Streams

Led by our Executive Director, Ms. Pinky Medina, she debunked common myths and misconceptions about fund raising, and shared practical strategies on how to explore multiple revenue streams for Philippine nonprofits - including grants, gifts, and earned income.


  • Emerging Trends in Nonprofit Finance

In this session, our Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Kiel Fernandez, together with Myriad USA, unpacked global trends shaping nonprofit finance today. The module explored how organizations can respond to changing donor expectations, embrace data-driven decision-making, and harness technology to strengthen resource mobilization.


We also engaged the participants in a panel discussion, where they shared their insights and experiences, bringing fresh perspectives and real-world examples into the conversation.


We thank PCNC, PICPA, and the PICPA Foundation  for once again inviting us to be part of this meaningful initiative and for continuing to empower nonprofit professionals through knowledge-sharing and capacity-building programs.
