Venture Speaks: Good Neighbors International Philippines Annual Strategic Planning Workshop

Venture was invited by the Good Neighbors International Philippines for a one-day Fund Raising session for their Annual Strategic Planning Workshop last March 26, 2026 at the Forest Crest Nature Hotel and Resort in Batangas. The session aimed to help the field offices actively participate in fund raising activities of the organization and develop the fund raising mindset within the organization.


We were joined by GNIP’s Resource Development Division, the Marketing and Communication team, and field managers from their Community Development Projects (CDPs). The day began with the Resource Development Division presenting their Strategic Plans, followed by Venture’s session on the introduction to fund raising.


Venture’s Executive Director, Ms. Pinky Medina, and Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Kiel Fernandez, led the session by diving into the basics of fund raising. They focused on the essential principles that make resource mobilization work, while highlighting the potential of individual giving and the latest trends currently shaping the local fund raising landscape. Rather than just sharing general advice, they offered a variety of community-based fund raising strategies specifically designed to fit right into GNIP’s Strategic Plan. This ensured the team walked away with practical ideas that felt relevant to their mission and ready to be put into action.



Following that, the participants shared their key takeaways from the session, including their current challenges in fund raising. They expressed a deeper understanding of fund raising and how to engage their local communities as active fund raising partners.
