We are thrilled to again share our knowledge and experience on diversifying resources and latest fund raising trends  at the final run of this year’s Financial Stewardship for NGOs training!

Organized by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC), in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and the PICPA Foundation, this impactful three-day workshop brought together passionate nonprofit leaders and finance officers from the education, health, environmental conservation, and other vital sectors.

Following the success of its first three sessions, held in the National Capital Region (NCR) in March, Davao in June, and Cebu in July, PCNC’s Financial Stewardship for NGOs training concluded its 2026 run with a final session back in the NCR last September 2-4.

Across all four runs, the program brought together more than 153 NGO leaders and finance professionals representing 93 NGOs nationwide (source: PCNC). The training provided a dynamic platform for participants to collaborate, exchange insights and experiences, and strengthen their capacity in financial integrity, transparency, long-term sustainability, and organizational growth.

This capacity-strengthening program focused on practical collaboration and strategic approaches to nonprofit financial management, with Venture for Fund Raising leading two specialized modules:

On the second day, our Executive Director, Ms. Pinky Medina, took the stage to lead a highly insightful and practical fund raising topic on “Diversifying Revenue Streams.”

During the session, Ms. Medina debunked common fund raising myths and misconceptions that often hold organizations back. Drawing from Venture’s 27 years of experience working with NGOs across various sectors, she shared actionable, real-world strategies to help Philippine nonprofits move beyond a single-source income model. She highlighted practical ways to build long-term financial resilience by cultivating a healthy mix of grants, gifts, and earned income.

On the third day, our Deputy Director, Ms. Kiel Fernandez, teamed up with Myriad USA to lead a highly interactive and dynamic fund raising session on “Emerging Trends in Nonprofit Finance.”

The discussion explored how organizations can embrace data-driven decision-making to guide resource mobilization while responding to the evolving expectations of today’s donors. It also examined the current fund raising environment and emerging trends, including innovative approaches to donor engagement and AI tools accessible to nonprofits of all sizes. The program culminated in an engaging panel discussion and Q&A session.

As this year’s Financial Stewardship for NGOs came to a close, Venture extends our heartfelt gratitude to PCNC, PICPA, and the PICPA Foundation for their continued trust and for spearheading this vital capacity-building initiative. Your collective efforts helped make the program a resounding success.

Here’s to building stronger, more resilient nonprofits, and a more sustainable future for our sector.
