We all have big dreams for our classrooms—from new tech to better teacher support—but we also know that tuition and fees can only go so far. Every educational institution has the potential to be a game-changer for our students, and the secret to getting there is looking beyond the usual budget to find new ways to grow. Sustainability requires exploring resource mobilization strategies that activate the entire community—from alumni and parents to local partners.

This May, Venture is once again offering our signature back-to-back workshops designed to equip institutions with powerful resource mobilization strategies.

For 27 years, Venture has helped various educational institutions build sustainable fund raising plans, and engage its alumni and networks. Our practitioner-led approach combines training, mentoring, and research to ensure these strategies are effectively applied in each school’s context.

Join us to strengthen your institution’s fund raising capacity, foster a culture of giving, and build consistent, meaningful alumni engagement approaches—laying the foundation for long-term philanthropic support and lasting impact.

Basic Course on Fund Raising #78 (BCFR)

Now in its 78th run, the Basic Course on Fund Raising (BCFR) remains Venture’s signature training course for various organizations and institutions. This course is designed to equip participants with the confidence and strategic mindset needed to lead effective fund raising campaigns in today’s competitive landscape. For decades, BCFR has trained thousands of professionals, empowering them to strengthen their missions and drive sustainable impact.

This specific run is tailored specifically for the education sector, supporting school leaders—Deans, Principals, and Board Members—who guide their institution’s financial strategy. It is equally valuable for advancement and development officers, and alumni and parent association leaders fostering a consistent culture of giving among their stakeholders. From crafting compelling campaigns to engaging diverse audiences, participants will gain the skills and confidence to lead fund raising efforts that create lasting impact for your institution.

Don’t miss this opportunity to acquire the tools and knowledge necessary to secure the resources your students, faculty, and institutions deserve!

Alumni Engagement Workshop (AEW)

Back-to-back with BCFR #78, the Alumni Engagement Workshop (AEW) is designed to help institutions strengthen connections with their alumni by fostering meaningful, lifelong relationships.

Participants will explore strategies to understand their alumni community, develop targeted engagement programs, and cultivate graduates as active partners, advocates, and mentors who contribute to the institution’s growth and sustainability.

By joining this workshop, you will gain a formal framework for transitioning from reactive outreach to a proactive, engagement-first strategy that naturally increases long-term philanthropic investment and institutional loyalty.
