We’re thrilled to announce that Venture for Fund Raising has officially kicked off the 1st quarter of 2026  as a resource speaker for this year’s round of the Financial Stewardship for NGOs training.

Organized by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC), in partnership with PICPA and the PICPA Foundation, this session marks the third time we’ve collaborated on this initiative, following two successful runs in July and October of 2025.

Held from March 4–6, 2026, at ibis Styles Manila Araneta City, this three-day workshop provided nonprofit leaders, finance officers, and development practitioners with a vital space to share knowledge and enhance their financial management, transparency, and sustainability practices.

The program focused on practical collaboration and high-level strategy, with Venture leading two specialized sessions:

  • Diversifying Revenue Streams

Our Executive Director, Ms. Pinky Medina, led a discussion into debunking common fund raising myths and misconceptions. She shared actionable strategies for Philippine nonprofits to move beyond a single-source income model, exploring a healthy mix of grants, individual gifts, and earned income to build long-term resilience.

  • Emerging Trends in Nonprofit Finance

In this session, our Deputy Executive Director, Ms. Kiel Fernandez, teamed up with Myriad USA to unpack the global shifts reshaping the sector. The discussion explored how organizations can embrace data-driven decision-making to guide resource mobilization while navigating the evolving expectations of modern donors. A significant portion of the conversation also centered on the critical role of Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, including practical cybersecurity hygiene tips that apply to any nonprofit organization.

One of the most valuable parts of the workshop was the panel discussion. Participants brought fresh perspectives and "on-the-ground" examples to the conversation, allowing the group to reflect on how to apply these global financial trends to the unique context of Philippine CSOs.

We extend our sincere thanks to PCNC, PICPA, and the PICPA Foundation for their continued trust and for spearheading these essential capacity-building programs.

The energy in NCR was incredible, but we’re just getting started for 2026! We are officially taking the Financial Stewardship training on the road to reach even more development workers across the country. We look forward to seeing you from June 24–26 for the Davao batch and July 15–17 for the Cebu batch.

Together, let’s continue advancing financial stewardship and resilience in the Philippine nonprofit sector.
