Finding Stability in Unpredictable Times
When times are tough and funding feels unpredictable, relying on just one or two traditional income sources can leave your mission vulnerable. True sustainability comes from funding diversification—learning how to open new doors and build a growing group of supporters so your programs never have to pause.
But expanding your reach is only half the story. Studies show that during difficult times, supporters don't stop caring, but they do become more thoughtful about where they give. They naturally step away from purely transactional requests and draw closer to the organizations where they feel a deep, genuine bond.
When the funding landscape is uncertain, our relationships with our community must become the one thing we can anchor our missions on.
Learning and Growing Together This September
On September 22–25, 2026, we invite your team to step away from the daily grind and rethink your strategies with us. We've designed these back-to-back workshops to help you move from a stressful "survival" mindset into a more proactive, sustainable way of working.

Basic Course on Fund Raising #78 (BCFR)
Now in its 78th run, the Basic Course on Fund Raising (BCFR) remains Venture’s signature training course for various organizations and institutions. This course is designed to equip participants with the confidence and strategic mindset needed to lead effective fund raising campaigns in today’s competitive and ever-changing landscape. For decades, BCFR has been the go-to course of nonprofit professionals, empowering them to strengthen their missions and drive sustainable impact.
This workshop delivers the end-to-end framework your organization needs to thrive. You will gain a 360-degree view of successful resource mobilization—learning how to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate campaigns to ensure long-term, scalable success.
Don’t miss this opportunity to acquire the tools and knowledge necessary to secure the diversified resources your organization deserves!
Stakeholder Engagement Workshop (SEW)
Back-to-back with BCFR #78, the Stakeholder Engagement Workshop (SEW) is designed to help organizations strengthen connections with their stakeholders by fostering meaningful, lifelong relationships.
By joining this workshop, you will explore strategies to truly understand your supporter base, develop targeted engagement programs, and cultivate your partners, donors, volunteers, alumni, and supporters as strong advocates who contribute to your organization’s growth and sustainability.
Instead of relying on sending generic updates or transactional outreach, we will focus on how to build genuine, value-driven relationships. You will learn how to get diverse groups ‘on the same page’, communicate your impact clearly, and turn passive observers into active, long-term advocates for your cause.
